I couldn't be more excited to announce my newest online workshop, Zen Houses,  is ready to launch and will be opening on September 6th!   This class merges two of my most favorite styles/themes of painting: My Funky Little Houses and Zen Painting into a fun filled (and robust workshop--over 6 hours of content!), 

You'll learn everything from shading, pen and pencil work, sketching,  using a specialty surface along with extremely fluid paint,  to create a water color'ish, sketcherly, work of art.  (I make up a few words here and there...heehee).    

I jammed packed this  course with several projects, warm ups, and many discussions where I share insights, tips,  and tricks of the trade.

One of the many exciting parts of this whole process is watching my students go from a sketch to a fully illustrated painting.  I mean, can you imagine going from this:

 Well you can with my assistance!  I promise I will lead you from start to finish and then some!  My goal is for you not just to recreate my projects, but to grow and flourish as an artist beyond the class room!!!

The sale price for this fun filled workshop ends on the launch date (September 6th), but of course you can jump in at anytime as this is a self paced course.

Friends Helping Friends Event

Happy Almost Easter to all of you who celebrate!   I hope you have something relaxing and fun planned for the holiday!    I wish I could say we are going away but the schedule doesn't permit this time around so we are going to have a staycation and do some fun things around here.  Sometimes that's the best way to go and then take off during the non peak times!   

Anywhoosers, I've been a total blog and newsletter slacker this month!  I think after I handed in my book and wrote two pretty emotional blog posts in February, I was done with writing for awhile..haha!   Really, I've been traveling for classes and just catching up on the pile of work I have had build up...all in a good way. I rather have work to do then none

at all!

Back To School? It's Not Too Late!

I was really hoping to get another new class up and running before the end of summer but my professional life threw out some curve balls that I had to handle so a new class project will have to wait until I can focus solely on it.  I probably over obsess about things being perfect but I am also realistic on how much time I need to produce a class in the manner which I like it to be done.  For those of you who are waiting for a new one, thank you so much! I appreciate you sticking with me and when I have my new offerings ready, it'll be worth the wait!

In the meantime, this October I will have  4 dvd's released from F&W media featuring fun techniques to keep your creative juices flowing, stay tuned for the upcoming release dates.  I'm super excited about this project finally coming to fruition after months of anticipation!
