It's Back and It's Better Than Ever! My 3rd Annual "Pay What You Can Sale"

I'm a week late but better late than never!  My 'birthday' week was chock full of awesomeness, so much so that I didn't have time to get this event running as I should have.
Thank you to all of you who messaged me to make sure I was still doing this special sale  for all of my cherished patrons and followers!  I appreciate all your enthusiasm and so glad you have grown to love this time of year as much as I do!

This is my annual 'giftie' to my followers in the form of a Pay What You Can Sale.....Pay what you can...hmmmm...read on for all the details!  This is a long post with lots of items available along with some guidelines.

If you have any questions, feel free to email me at jodiohl@hotmail.com .

HERE IS THE "FINE PRINT":

What is a Pay What You Can Sale?  Well,  a couple years ago I received an email from an inspirational speaker, author,  and artist that I admire  (Danielle Laporte) who offered a sale for one day only on one or two of her very popular (but pricey) book/programs and I thought now isn’t  that a coolio idea?!  I sat on the idea for a year and then THREE  years ago,  I decided to take a plunge and do my own version of the special for a LIMITED time, too!

If you stopped by last year, you may have got a SWEET deal, and hopefully this year you will find a deal or two as well. And this year is going to be another AMAZING Event!  You’ll see in just a moment!

How This Works
“Pay What You Can”

  • I will post suggested retail prices so you can gauge what those items typically sell at.
  • Shipping is not included and pieces do not come matted or framed (for original art and prints) .
  •  I will consider every offer submitted, but please only submit offers for items you intend on paying for if accepted.  It’s no fun trying to chase people down or decline someone else if someone staked a claim on an item and then disappears.
  •  I do reserve the right to decline an offer that is well below cost or not truly a fair offer.

For example: I can not do a 3ox30 piece for you for 20.00... I’m sorry.  :)

I will also offer payment plans if you really want that 30x30 piece but would need to split payments up to make it happen!

In the event more than one person makes an offer, I will take the highest offer-but will notify the lower offer 1x  that they have been outbid so that person has a chance to  resubmit their initial offer.

Things to take into consideration:
Prints are made to order, please allow 10-14 days for delivery unless you want to upgrade to an expedited shipping

I want YOU to get a deal and if you tell me you can only pay xyz as you are on a limited budget, it’s an honor system.  It’s not a good feeling if I see that same person the next day on Facebook talking about their trip around the world and total home renovation being on a limited budget
. I know you get what I mean!! I’m just saying as that happened to me it almost made me reconsider doing this sale.

Most custom items will be worked on in January and into February and could take 2-4 weeks approximately  to complete, depending on how many orders and the complexity of the subjects.

If you need your item sooner, please contact me before placing an order/offer.

For a limited time  I will post a variety of items in the following categories:  Supplies,  Prints, Originals,….and wait for it…. COMMISSION pieces during this “Pay What You Can” Event.

How do you make an offer?

I will post a link to a form you must fill out under each item offer in this event so I can have all the information in one place.

By the end of day Friday, December 23rd,  or sooner I will review all offers and let you know via email if your PWYC offer was accepted.
Invoices will be sent out shortly thereafter.

An Online Auction Not To Miss!

Monday, December 12th is the Big Day!

Behind the scenes I've been working on many....did I say many??? I mean a ton of new work for a special project that is finally almost here!  I'm super excited to announce that I will have a solo day during the 2016 Handmade and Holiday Auction with Stephanie Gagos!  This is a huge honor and quite a thrill to be chosen to have a special day in the 'sun' during this amazing 14 day event.  My work will be closing the event (scary...I hope everyone has a bit of moolah left..haha!)  I've been watching from the sidelines and even purchased a couple goodies myself from the fantastic artists!

It's scary to put yourself out there for the world to see though I have to say--especially during an auction because my fear is no one will bid or worse yet even comment on my offerings haha!  That's my 'workmare'!

The truth is, putting yourself out in the world is a necessity if you want to do amazing things.  There are going to be hugely scary moments and then there will be moments when things come together like magic.  In order to get to the magic, you have to just trust you are doing the best you can do at this time and people are going to respond to that positive energy (in the form of art) that you are manifesting.

This is a special heads up on when my auction day is--we are supposed to keep it hush hush but I received special permission to share with you when my day is.  So mark your calendars and join in on the auction on or before December 12th, 2016 ...at least stop by to say 'Hi' :)) It would mean the world to me!

Here's is a little collage featuring just some of my work.  I'll have roughly 30 originals and 4 prints included in the auction.  All offered below my normal listing price so there's a great opportunity to snag a BIG bargain. Also included are many pieces of art never offered online before as they were created specifically for this event.

Take a look at just a few of the features! I'll have work representing my Zen Painting Collection, Abstracts,  Whimsical Art, and a few prints.

How do you sign up to participate in the auction on Facebook?

Very Easy.

1.  Click this Link  or search for 2016 Handmade Holiday Auction by Stephanie Gagos.

2. On the right hand side, click "Interested or Going"

3.  When you see an item listed as "Auction" you'll note in the description the starting bid, description, and shipping information.

4. If you would like to bid on an item or simply leave a word of encouragement, type it all in the comment field.

5. Have fun Bidding!

6. Winning bid will go to the artist via paypal immediately following the auction so please only bid if you intend on purchasing the item.

Lastly-if notifications bother you, look for three dots at the top right of the event page, if you click those dots you'll see notification settings.  There will be a drop down box with radio buttons to click on your preferences.  Just be sure not to miss your items if you chose this option! :))

Once again--here is a link to the auction event-- hope to see you there!

Don't want to bid anything but you'd like a piece of my art for yourself--stop over to my Etsy shop and seen what's new!

Artsy News and Upcoming Events!

'

Hello My Friends!

I hope your summer is going well!   I just returned from a whirlwind 4 weeks of travel for work and vacation, crisscrossing from North Carolina to Dallas, Texas;  Melbourne, Florida, up to Western NY, back to North Carolina and then ending up in Williamsburg, Va for s teaching, workshops, visiting family and friends, along with some fun in the sun, water parks  and amusement park with my boys     It's definitely been fun in the sun along with tons of artsy goodness, meeting several of you for the first time along with reconnecting with many of you after a few years have passed. It's amazing how small the world is and how our paths cross many times in this wonderful and wild journey of life.

It's definitely been a great summer of adventure including  tons of artsy goodness, meeting several of you for the first time along with reconnecting with many of you after a few years have passed. It's amazing how small the world is and how our paths cross many times in this wonderful and wild journey of life.

Today I wanted to share with you some of the exciting new events coming up that I'd love for you to join in on (or share if you wouldn't mind!!), as well as a great special going on for several of my online classes!
