Announcements! Pebeo Winner and more!

Wowza!  You guys are incredible!   I had so much fun reading all of your posts for my last giveaway for an assortment of a new line of paint pens/markers by Pebeo!  If you are looking for some inspiration, go back and read all the comments that were left on the post, you guys are up to some CREATIVE Goodness, that's for sure!

 It sounds like we have lots of paint marker lovers out there!  If you missed the last post, here are some pics featuring the pens by Pebeo I'm sending off to some lucky winner next week (winner announced at the end of the post)   I have to say, both the oil paint pens and  Pebeo acrylic pens are luscious.  Highly pigmented, smooth, free flowing and great coverage!  You will get  a few pens that are not even released yet in the states!  All the pens will be available soon, the oil paint pens (4Artist Markers) are currently available  at Amazon or Dick Blicks

 The pink pen is part of the acrylic line of decoMarkers-these are not yet released however I was the lucky recipient of a generous sampling of both lines and a variety of the tips.    I'll be using them in my next DVD so I have a few extras on hand for YOU!

Twas The Night Before Christmas.....Creative things going on throughout the house!

Hello Everyone and Merry Christmas to all who celebrate, and Happy Holidays to all of my friends throughout this wonderful season.   Gosh where do I begin.  I feel like I've been rather quiet lately on the blog and elsewhere.  There's been so much going on over the last few months, culminating with me getting ready for my book photo shoot that took place for over a week this month.  After I returned, I launched right into my last promotion "Pay What You Can Sale"  last week and now here it is the night/day before Christmas. I feel like I'm in a time wrap of creativity, art, and art biz,  holiday festivities, and life of a single mom all rolled up into one!  No complaints here though other than how can time go by so fast??? EEEK!!  lol I know you know what I mean!

Okay off to the business at hand, the first thing I want to do is to thank ALL that participated in my 3rd annual PWYC sale last week. All dvds, classes, and art grab bags were sent out on Monday; prints will be sent out next week, and original paintings ordered will be sent out by the second week of January.  This was my biggest turn out yet, and I'm so grateful to all of you for sharing and participating!!!!  I'm so happy to have been able to give many of you some, 'steals and deals'!!      I did have a few people not respond after committing to their order but other than that, I feel it was an overall success!   Because I had a few change their mind but I had already ordered their videos, I have some of my DVDs in stock in my Etsy shop.

I took a workshop at Saluda Arts and fell in love with the techniques Jodi taught. I had very little painting experience and was thrilled how just 1 day of instruction opened a whole new creative outlet for me. I bought one of her pairings that I just fell in love with and now have her new DVD. Wow....just wow!   Those of you who stopped by last week and left a comment on the post about moving past your fear.  There were so many powerful messages of victory in the face of adversity,   about rising above anxiety to reclaim one's life,  and comments about rebuilding one's life after the loss of a loved one to name just a few.

The strength and resilience we have as people is sometimes unknown until it has to be tapped into.   Hearing how YOU have tapped into your reservoir of fortitude has been inspiring in itself!

I truly think that there is so really good stuff in this topic that we should explore it some more....hmmmm...I'm thinking, I'm thinking!

Kicking off the New Year Giveaway...Winner Revealed!

In one of my last posts, I decided to kick off the New Year by doing a little artsy giveaway for one of my  blog readers who shared their Creative Intentions for 2015. Personally, I love more abstract paintings and things. That would be my suggestion for your upcoming books...yes, plural. Love the idea of one abstract (pods and such) and another more whimsical, then perhaps one on faces too! Would love and my fingers are crossed for your give away....lol! I need to clean up and clear out. I need help though! I just get stuff and never delete stuff, I can't function in my room as it is. My goal this year is to get into my room and do some playing!

I hope this first Monday of the New Year treated you well...I know I enjoyed every minute of it as I took a day off and went on  a 'field trip' with some friends.  Well most of the day off. I started working again at 6pm and it's 9:30 right now...that's the thing about working for yourself, you make your own hours which can be a mostly really good thing.

Oh yeah, it's going to be a different kind of year! On Jan 1, I go with my daughter to live on a quiet Caribbean island while she is in Med school. Along for the ride and to care for her brilliant 3 year old, I know this is my year to focus on art. I'm excited. Have been gently gathering supplies to ship and have while there, since budget is a concern and I would love the opportunity to learn with YOU! And I think that is a great pod-tastic plan!
