Tragedy and Tags

Just so everyone knows, my tags are not really blurry in person :) The following pics are my second attempt to make my set of 10 tags for dear sweet Raesha's Tag Swap. In several of these, I've used papers and treats some of my friends have sent me or I have bought from their shops. What fun! I could go on and on making them. This set is really a bunch of mini collages, and I did try to use what I have so other than the tags themselves...you'll be proud...no other trips to Michael's this week for supplies I don' t need...(yet)...not to say I don't want any &I really had to refrain myself from seeing what other goodies they put out this week or what was left of their 70% off the marked down price selection, but I was a good girl. Instead I went to Walgreen's tonite and blew a wad! Shhhh. It was all things I needed. ;) Like-the new Country Living magazine, Loreal concealer and powder (buy one get one..so I saved 10.49 people, can you blame me?); pantyhose...I did buy the sale brand, and really I did need those; double sided tape, I just couldn't resist from getting at least one little bitty craft supply; and then finally several Almay face cleansing supplies (all on major clearance, 70% off.). So, even though I blew a wad, the receipt said I saved $28.37 cents. That's pretty good right?? Right??
The other things I bought ,and this is the sad part of my post, were several cards to send to the families, employees, and victims of the this terrible event that happened at one my company's financial centers. It gives me chills to think of what everyone went through during this horrific event. I think of my team and how vulnerable all of us are, really at any job you work at these days, and it gives me chills up and down my spine. I just can't imagine loosing any of my employees or friends or family like this...it just shouldn't of ever happened. So, if you are so inclined, please say a prayer for those affected by the horrible event, they truly do need support, prayers, and thoughts going out to them.

More blurry pictures.

Vintage distressed tags, most of the paper used was from a package I bought from the Goodness Shop. :) Thanks Rebecca!
Again, please say a prayer for the victims of the robbery mentioned above....and give an extra kiss to those you love today...you just never know what tomorrow will bring.

Oh my, I'm so sorry to hear of that awful tragedy. My prayers are certainly with them and you know I'll think of you and your team daily from now on. (Plus the nice folks that work at my branch.) {{{HUGS}}}

Your tags look great! You put those papers to great use! Now I want to make tags. :)

Ok gurl, first... do you have the closeup setting on your camera? LOL!
So how many tags did you have to make for your swap? Are ya all done? These swaps are stressin me out!! I need to stop swapping. Or swap on my own terms or something.
Yah thanks about the pink hair comment!!
I told Rebecca that my birds all came out of thrifted bird watching books. Gotta love ripping pages out of books!!!

That's horrible! Those poor people...thoughts and healing prayers going out to them.

I can tell, even with the blurry pictures, that your tags are great. How fun. I might have to try my hand. You're inspiring me...

Lucy,
Very pretty tags! (I have a problem with close-up photos going blurry on me, too.)

I received one of your beautiful colage tags in Raesha's Tag Swap. I am so amazed with all of the different styles and beauty. I am a beginner and I am going to hang yours on the inspiration bulletin board I am making. Thank you for sharing your art with me.
