Crafty Friends

I wish I could say these are my creations but I must give credit to one of my crafty Canadian friends, Karen for the beautiful quilts she created. These are just some of the examples of the many quilts she has made over the years, many of which she has given as gifts, sold at auctions, and others she donated to charity fundraisers. I bet you can't guess that she loves......

Cat's!!!! The kitty quilt is made predominately from her fabric scraps. All are made from high quality cotton. The pink and blue quilt is called weaver feaver, and the flowered quilt is a varation on the 9 Block pattern.
I love how Karen's kitty is perched like a sexy vixen for this photo shoot!! How I wish I had the patience to quilt, knit, crochet...etc! I have a problem following directions...I usually don't!! So, that doesn't help me when I need to do something precise, that's probably why I don't make piecrusts very well either :)

Okay, I will stick to thrifting and a little painting here and there and leave the quilting to my crafty friends!!

Thanks Karen for allowing me to feature your terrific quilts!!

I'm like you and have a hard time sticking to directions (piecrusts, too!) but I swear someday I'm going to try quilting! Maybe start with a quilted pillow or something. These are so pretty!
