"Down By The River"  by Jodi Ohl

Big News To Share Part One!

It has been quite an eventful few weeks around here in my little corner of the woods in North Carolina.    Since the beginning of the month, I've been working on moving my studio to a shared location outside of my home  (our grand opening is October 3rd!).  Quite honestly, the move has taken up a lion's share of my time but there's more..hold the door, yes indeed.  This hasn't taken up much of my time but it's exciting nevertheless,  One of my paintings (the above picture, "Down By The River") is featured in a new book edited by Tonia Jenny, "

Incite 3 - The Art Of Storytelling: The Best of Mixed Media Hardcover – October 14, 2015

This is my second feature for the Incite family of books, and I couldn't be more thrilled!!  When I was taking a look at the "Look Inside" feature, I also noticed I was quoted on page 5 during the editors forward.  What the what???   I haven't seen the full copy but if it's anything like last year, it definitely is going to be one of those books that you keep to reference and look to for inspiration for years to come.

In celebration of this event, I am having a private sale of the painting as a limited edition giclee print on either Somerset Velvet paper or Lustre paper.  The print is a large format which comes in the original painting size,  24 x 36.  The texture that is captured in this reproduction is amazing if I do say so myself.   The special offer is more than half off the retail price for my followers.

If interested,  click here to purchase:

24 x 36  Limited Edition Giclee Print on Lustre Paper    $125.00

24 x 36  Limited Edition Giclee Print on Somerset Velvet Paper  $180.00

***This special is good from 9/15/15-9/30/15 only***

As an added bonus,  one reader will get a signed copy of this book (to be shipped after release date-expected delivery by the end of October).   All you have to do is to share something big happening in your world that you are super excited about!  Leave a comment below for an entry!  Share the post via Facebook, Pinterest or Twitter and get a second entry.  Simply come back and let me know where you shared! EZ PEEZY!

My exciting world view will be on Thursday visiting the new Creative Studios in Vass, NC just to see Jodi's work in person. Being an artist I love looking at the creativity of other artists just to share in the aesthetic response I receive from the viewing.

My biggest exited news was present I did get from my family. I did want to buy a good chain saw for making wooden sculptures and they did buy it to me. It was total surprise and I can't wait this weekend to make my new sculpture.

I have a new outlook on life and feel my life has restarted. I feel able to finally make art a priority instead of just lurking on the internet. You have been an inspiration

My exciting news is I am dealing with something from my past that I thought it was time to 'over and out' it.

Plus I'm doing more art all the time, which is the really exciting part. I'd so love to win this book. I'll twitter and facebook this.

So happy for you! It's amazing to see good things happening for good people. The biggest thing going on here has been settling my son in to first grade. Last week he passed his first real test - woo hoo!
