Journal Junk January 20th

journalpage3 and 4

Journal page for Jan 20th....I am so not good at keeping a regular journal, but at least i am trying to do it once a week. how do so many create a page a day????

gesso, purple paint, graphite pencil, water soluble graphite in gray and shadow, white ink essential gel pen, black gel pen

I've had to start over so many times that some of my biggest dreams have been put on hold. I guess if I have any regrets, it's because of having to start over and over again I feel like I should have done more than I have already at age 40. Then I think about what I have achieved and think that perhaps it's time to stop looking back and just move forward.

Hi Jody! Awesome journal page. Water soluable graphite - makes an interesting layer on this. I have a little package of that somwhere. Gotta try it out. You are so right - it's time to start looking forward. Starting over is a very brave thing to do and THAT in and of itself is an accomplishment. Look at all of your beautiful art and soul here on your blog - THAT is an accomplishment. I'd say you're doing just fine.
Now go outside and make a snow angel!

I love this page, the girls face is exquisite. Such a lovely lass (you). I like all of the doodling too. We share some of the same dreams.
I look around on your blog and see so many of the accomplishments you've made, you sons, being published, work promotions and still creating art, continuing to be friends with your ex (a big accomplishment there for another (son), you have done sooooo much and your looking back seems to propel you forward. Keep your eyes on the prize, marching forward and look back occasionally but not for too long and you'll do many more of those wonderful dreams.
