Art Everyday Month--November 24-25 Winter in NY collection 2

**Post updated---I always like to see the beginning of something so I can appreciate the journey it took to get to the end--so take a look at the stages of my latest collection and enjoy the ride.**
1st pic--plain background on an incredibly clean table for me...lol. Wow. Have to chronicle that one. If you could see it now....well...let's just say it doesn't look the same as this pic. I have a feeling the cleaning fairies are visiting tonight so I can start cooking tomorrow and setting the real table that has been put away for several months. For one glorious day this year. I will have a dining room table.
Wips-Winter In NY series 2
Using acrylic glaze and washes of color over molding paste---you begin to see the textures take on a life of their own.

More washes and detailing now see this project to the end where the subjects are defined, the details are in place...and Winter arrives in full force on my canvases....

so what you're doing here is playing with the same design over and over? wonderful! I do believe I have some small canvasses that I could do the same things with. How fun! (something like making 100 bowls...I've never done that because I'm not good with the wheel, but I understand the concept - repetition leads to freedom!)

These houses really captured the cold! I'm sure that it did not hurt that the weather here is just too cold for this time of the year! Your style is recognizable even if it is winter.

I totally got a giggle out of the "not going to the grocery store again" comment. And I feel totally the same! But, I'll probably still run in tomorrow for something!
Happy Thanksgiving Lucysweet :)
Enjoy your dining room table, lol

These pieces are even better in person, and it was really interesting to see them as a wor-in-process.

Very nice!

I love art that reminds me of Danny Elfman. I know that sounds strange but I find I am drawn to this kind of art. I love the slightly dark feel to it which could be represented in the dark reds and black. Very stunning. Have you seen Meridian Ariel's poisoned apple tree? Very similar colors although different too. Happy Thanksgiving.
