Paint, Play, and a Prize

 Just wanted to send out a quick reminder my newest online class goes live tomorrow!! In other news,   I recently did a little video that GASP let you into my studio. It's a frightening thought...I have stuff everywhere, but hey, this is real folks, a neat studio only happens for me when I'm at the end of a series of projects. I clean it all up again and then start fresh. During this video, it ummmm well was not taped during one of those periods of time :

As most of you know....I'm embarking on a new and wonderful journey....a journey that has been a burning desire of mine since a child if you really want to go back in time.  Way back in time says this 'young and sprite' 42 year old.   Back in the day my goal was to be a fiction writer who traveled the 4 corners of the world through romance, adventure, drama, and maybe even a little comedy  nestled in between the pages of my American novel.  That dream  was gently tucked away for pretty much the majority of my life after college when I realized my writing wasn't up to par nor was my ability to be disciplined enough to work for myself  as a writer. I set that goal aside for a more practical life, one in business and management and that's pretty much where I've stayed for the last 20 some years in different incarnations between the companies I've worked for.  Since 2006 though...through a series of events that are a story in and of itself (hey....maybe that could be the plot for my novel that I've always dreamed about!), I've found my creative voice...and it has grown and grown and become so much a part of who I am now, and who I want to be forever, I am going to listen to the calling within my heart and work full time as an artist starting pretty much this week. In fact, Friday is my last day at my day job. How I got to that point in my decision making process hasn't been easy...but I've made a plan and I'm going to pursue it with everything I have and then some. 

In celebrating this new beginning for me, I have LOTS of fun things in store for YOU...my loyal blog readers, my friends, my new friends who have just started to follow me, and most of all fun things in store for my family.
