Happy Sunday My Friends! I hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine's Day and a crazy creative week! I know I did...it was a week full of art, hanging out with friends (new and old), meeting new peeps at places like Jerry's Artarama and the Fearington Village Folk Art show, dinners with my art chicas...a glass of wine (or 2) with my girls....date nite with lil man (my 11 year old..lol) all in all, it was a great week.  I am a little late posting the winner of my contest for a tuition to my online class "Fearless Faux Encaustics" and a signed copy of the latest issue of Cloth Paper Scissors which features an article that highlights some techniques from that class....so without further adieu, congrats to Rosemary of "A Walk in the Woods" who entered her 'faking it' tip:

I tend to use lines, cross-hatching and dots to fill those spaces that others aren't speaking to me.

I've been working on new owl paintings for an upcoming class this summer for Artful Gathering 2012.  Messy good fun :)

Speaking of messy, sometimes I just need to get some things off of my chest.  Graffiti art is a great way to do it!

A trip to Durham with some of my art chicas to visit the Scrap Exchange....oh my loads of coolness there!

Everywhere you turned there was something to look at, touch, feel, envision....

we were like deers in the headlights.

So cool I had to wear shades.

On the way to eat at Elmo's Diner (highly recommend) we spied these amphibious characters. 

I have always been sweet on music men.

Lots of goodness found at the Fearington Village Folk Art Show in Pittsboro.  Seriously, who would mess with this voodoo crazy cool vehicle?

Eye don't know what else to say but I loved this crazy art car!!

An evening checking out some funky art....

After playing with graffiti art and cleaning up some spills, I'm pretty sure that it's clear that us art chicks rule...we like it messy, we are messy, and there is never a dull moment with us :)

I finished the week off by hanging out at one of my favorite stores showing customers and fans how wonderful Matisse Acrylic Paints are!

What a great week...what a message to see...thank goodness I'm living an artful life. ...and I'm grateful for all the wonderful souls in it..new friends and old, you have blessed me with great memories. :)
