When you are an artist who sells work in addition to making it just cuz....it's fun and you love to do it--you need to think of ways to extend what you do beyond the canvas in order to get the most mileage for your money so to speak. For my Art Everyday post today, I just wanted to encourage artists to think beyond the canvas for additional sources of income. |

Some artists are already doing this...going beyond the canvas with their pieces creating lovely prints, magnets, digital art.....etc. It's a great thing for those that may want something in the style of the artist but can't spend the money for original pieces, but they can afford 5-10, 25 or 50 dollars for a reproduction of some sort. |

I've been offering prints for awhile now...but I just only recently started to add additional items to my mix such as note cards or utilizing my paintings in digital art I've been doing personally (trying to learn new things :) |

When you think outside the box and extend what you do with out reinventing the wheel, you are setting yourself up for success. There's no limit when you are creative....creative with your work, way of thinking, and with your marketing of your art. Continue to believe that you can rise above that 'starving artist'stereotype and become ONE that can and does make a living from their creative
endeavors. ONE can only hope :)
