WOOT WOOT--wish me luck!!

It's now or never!!! I'm so excited and scared all at the same time! My first outdoor show and I think I'm as ready as I'll ever be, I've learned a lot, know what to do differently next time and intend on making this as successful as I possibly can, thanks to the help of lots of friends and family.
Special thanks to Jean Skipper for her work as chairwoman of the Spring Fest and for including me in the press release for the show!!! Can I get a woot woot!!!
And a little pic of my "Home is Where the Heart Is" painting (12x 12) that will be showcased!!
I have my packaging in place....check out this website for great prices, quick shipping and lots of selections from bags to labels by the sheet (I ordered the small labels there for less then a dollar a sheet, 24 to a page, coupled with the bags plus shipping it was less then what I would have paid for a package of labels at staples)
Created some signage for my display...

Bought a new banner to highlight my booth!!
pinkset
Played with some of my items as I STRUGGLED to set up the tent...but I did manage to do it with the help of my 8 year old (after I had another meltdown trying to do it....that makes about 40 this week!)

Cute little ACEO prints adhered to mat board....I have lots of these to offer!

friends'
And completed the last of my 4 big pieces that I will be featuring.....phew. You have no idea how exhausted I am but I'm running on adrenaline and sure determination. I'm going to try to videotape bits and bobs of the show for my viewers to see.

Last but not least....for all my loyal blog readers, you can be the first to my drawing that I will be having at the show. I'm going to give a $50.00 gift certificate to my shop. In order to win, you must leave your email!!!!

(MY SHOP IS ON VACATION MODE UNTIL AFTER THE SHOW....stay tuned though because this week I'll reopen with TONS of new items!!!!! Something for everyone!!)))

Okay...so leave a comment, type out your email and wish me luck!!!

xoxo

Looks good Jodi, I am sure you will be a success and Trisha told me you were a bit scared of the tent..believe me that will be the most difficult part of the day so the rest is all downhill.
Hope to see you tomorrow and again - good luck at your first or many shows.

Jodi,
Much success to you! I know it's LOTS of work to do these things. And those tents can be the dickens... But it's wonderful to spend time with the public and soak in their comments IN PERSON.

good luck at your show! We do lots of outdoor art festivals - and have gone through all kinds of weather - we've learned to prepare for anything - wind gusts - rain - we've got cement blocks to anchor down our display racks after they once tipped over during an extremely windy show - no fun. I'd love to enter your drawing and please come visit our family's art journal - http://thingswithwingsartjournal.blogspot.com

Jodi,

Your booth and your work were amazing yesterday! Every time I visited, your were with someone, and I'm so happy that you didn't have time for me! :-)

I hope that you enjoyed yourself amidst the chaos!

This is what happens when I don't visit my dear friend's blog for a while!! I miss so much....like your journey to put together your art show! I can't imagine how stressful this must have been but goodness it looked awesome! Loved the photo of you standing in front of your booth!! The bird piece is awesome! I'm so happy that it turned out to be a beautiful...albeit hot....day for you!!
